I was not a believer when my husband made this purchase. I did not think we needed an ice maker. Well. We received the package, assembled it (which was quick and easy), and plugged it right in. We poured in some nice cold water to the MAX fill line, and we waited. It didn't take long at all. 6-8 minutes later, we had gorgeous little gems of ice. Beautiful, tiny nuggets of joy. The ice is delightfully crunchy, but yielding. The whole unit fits nicely on my countertop, and we have a rather small kitchen. It's worth making space for. I was skeptical of the price point as well, but after literally one evening of enjoying The Perfect Ice, I am convinced that it was well worth the cost. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.
