Ice makers are like dating apps. You get a lot of duds, and one day you find your perfect match. This ice machine is my perfect match!The best feature of this ice machine is that it is an IoT device. I have the ability to set a schedule that fits my needs. I tend to leave my ice machines going 24/7 because I want to have ice in the morning. Unfortunately, for other ice machines, you can't even use a smart switch to accomplish this, because you still have to manually push the start button. Others are also very loud, and it sounds like a bomb going off when it shoots 100 psi through the metal tubes to drop the ice off once it is complete. Of course, that's an exaggeration, but it sure sounds like it when the ice hits the plastic bottom. It tends to wake me up at night since it sounds like someone is in my home and making noise.Pros:IoT device - there is an app for that!Schedules - turn off at night, and turn on in the morning. No need to manually push a button.Noise - this machine is QUIET!! If I left it on 24/7, I still wouldn't hear it when I am trying to sleep.Speed - once the schedule turns on in the morning, this machine can have a full basket of ice in an hour.Notifications - depending on your needs and likes, this thing notifies you of water level, if it's full, etc.Cons:Ice - the ice tends to be weak. I like to crush them into smaller pieces so I can chew on the ice, but they tend to turn into a giant lump of ice instead. My fault for crushing them though. I know the weakness is most likely due to the weather or the type of water I have. HOWEVER, I can deal with that because of all of it's capabilities.
