I bought these to replace the paper filters I have been using in my Cuisinart DCC-450BK 4-cup coffeemaker. I figured this was an environmentally sound decision - why take up a lot of space in a landfill with single-use, disposable paper filters? Unfortunately, when I tried to fit the filters into the basket of my coffeemaker, the lid would not close. Upon investigation, I found that the handle on the coffeemaker basket keeps the metal filter from seating all the way into the basket. Yes, I could replace the basket entirely and just use the metal filter, but that would eliminate the auto shutoff feature, which is built into the basket.
