This is a nonstop action packed story that took me a week to read. Normally I can read a book in a day when I lose myself in the story telling. And in the first four books in this series that is how I read them, but I couldn't with this one. Dante and Heather just can't get a break, which was all well and good for suspense. However,the scenes with his mind unraveling and his reality shifting, that was extremely hard for me to get through. Not because it was boring or too drawn out, but because it was so well written that it struck a strong emotional chord within me. I was overwhelmed with a sense of dread but more so with hopelessness. I just couldn't take too much at one time. I hate but love this book and would recommend it as long as the first four are read first. I love cliffhangers so was not disappointed that again we have another one. I will be reading this one again, must be a glutton for punishment. I look forward to the next in the series. Adrian Phoenix stays true to her characters and is a great storyteller.
