First the good. It makes ice for a relatively low cost.Issues: First one arrived and failed quickly but prompt replacement sent. Now the water filter sprung a leak (pin hole) requiring it to be shut down.Instructions are very poor and ice size adjustments are tough to decipher.Bottom line. You aren’t buying a top of the line machine so keep reliability and operation expectations in check. My former ice maker was a large Manitowoc that had a 24 inch wide spot in my kitchen. It produced and stored a lot of ice but was over 20 years old and very noisy, I needed a replacement and wanted something that fit. This fit the bill. First of all it produces ice at just about the same rate as the Manitowoc but only stores a fraction of the ice. A fair trade off considering how much smaller (much shorter and lighter) and quieter it is. My issue so far was that it quit working after 40 days but a email to GSEICE was responded to within an hour and after a discussion of the problem over 2 days (time difference) a replacement was sent. I was pleasantly surprised to see it arrive 3 days later. Fantastic customer service. So far the replacement is working great, I couldn't be happier. After purchasing a lesser machine and being dissatisfied with its capacity, I decided to buy this one more than a month ago. For our Fourth of July block party, this machine produced over 200 pounds of ice, and I took it with us on vacation to the California Delta, where it was 100 degrees. In that heat, we generated at least 60 lbs every day. Under typical circumstances, I easily produce 100 lbs when we are at home. This machine kept three of us campers and boaters in plenty of ice and paid for itself because a 20 lb bag of ice costs $ 16.00 per bag (yes, we are in California). This together with the luggage I ordered worked out fantastically. 30 pounds each boat per day in addition to full ice chests. This is a winner if you need a lot of ice for camping, boating, and large gatherings—I just wish the next iteration didn't require breaking the cube blocks apart.Good quality product and great customer service. Had some issues setting up. Company contacted me and offered clearer instructions. Very impressive customer service. Ice thickness can be adjusted by raising or lowering numbers shown as time. To make thinner ice you need to go to a negative number. They were very helpful in helping me figure this out.It would be great if someone from this company had some instructions here. I’ve adjusted the ice size and still continue to get massive chunks of ice stuck together. PLEASE HELP!!!UPDATED:Jimmy from GSEICE contacted me. If you set the ice setting level to -4 level, the ice appears to break apart more easily. The ice is clear and tastes great. Thank you GSEICE.Perfect for breakfast diner, great ice cubes . Even more impressive is the customer service. Jimmy is great at helping with any issuesGot it 4 days ago running great and today go look at the machine, it stop making iced and see the display light flat line. Little panic coz they don’t give you manual book for what to do when different kind display is showing. The only manual they give you is on the machine which is not that much to explain about different functions that machine have and the company doesn’t have any customer support, you have to go through Amazon only. I’ll wait and see. If the machine don’t make ice today I’m going to call Amazon for the support or exchange.
