My kids ALWAYS want snow cones from a local place, but after all of us go, we're spending almost $30 for one trip. I got this for $25 and it was worth every penny! The blue is a gorgeous color and it's not too big for my counters. It works fast and we all enjoyed the show cones! Some tips: we bought a bag of ice from the gas station and it worked perfectly. I saw some reviews saying ice from the freezer was too big so I didn't want to risk it. Second, this is not quiet. It's crushing ice - it won't be silent. I saw some reviews stating it was loud so they didn't like it. Oof. Third, ice can shoot out a little from the sides. We used cups and held it closer to the dispenser and it wasn't an issue. Lastly, snow cone syrup can be expensive but you can find recipes to make your own! It's inexpensive and lasts a long time! Enjoy!First of all, we absolutely love our snow cone maker! It’s super easy to use and the vintage color has made this a great conversation piece. After reading reviews on several other machines, I chose this one as it not only had great reviews but was also very reasonable in price. We use cups which makes for more yumminess!! I definitely recommend!!This is the second one we have tried the first was a different brand. This one is so much better!!I love this thing! It has gotten so much use in my household that I wound up buying another as a gift. I have sent the link out to so many friends and family members, because I have been raving about it so much! It’s totally worth the money, and you definitely get a great product!! I love the retro design. It’s cute enough to leave out on my kitchen counter all the time. Don’t hesitate, just go ahead and buy it! Trust me on this one. ?Great product for my elderly dadI am trying to clean up the screen porch, and I bought an inflatable hot tub, and we needed a snow cone machine to make it a party room. I purchased the Nostalgia CLSC1WH I am so happy with it. The da it came I put it in the screen porch, but my son took it into the kitchen and we have been sing it every day. Perfect for the hot days. This machine is fun, makes nice little snow cones pretty quickly. One major thing to know - if you put full-sized ice cubes from the freezer in to the machine, it will not work. We put the ice cubes into a ziploc bag and break them up with a wooden spoon and then put them in the machine. Makes a snow cone in a matter of seconds that way. My son loves it.Bought a hand Crack one, piece of junk this is the one to buy very pleased.Only works on 110V, yet they will sell it to Australia with no adapater and no way of working without a step-down voltage converter. Way too complicated so look for a other option.I purchased an item from them and what a nightmare it has been trying to get a refund (almost a year later and it still not refunded). Product was defective! I sent it back the first time and it was returned as there was no one to accept it. Sent it a 2nd time and no response. I'm not only out the cost of the unit, I'm also out the shipping charges.DEFINITELY A BUYER BEWARE COMPANY!!!!Absolutely disgusting. Not once in the description does it say it's 110v. It does not state that it's an American product and can not be used on anything more that 120v.I bought an adaptor and the lights turned on. But then flicked the switch to crush the ice and it blew up. My 8 year old only wanted a snow cone machine machine for her birthday. So disappointed and such a waste of money. My son and I love our new snow cone machine. We use it multiple times a day and have no complaints. Ice is finely shaved down but not so fine that it turns into a puddle of slush. Too bad it’s often sold out I have friends who’ve tried to buy it.Would be quieter to use a hammer on concrete to crush the ice. The structure is ridiculously cheap, pretty sure it would broke after a week. In case you didn’t get it yet, I returned it the day I got it.
