Very pleased I chose this awesome turner.I like everything but the handle was a touch rough so I sanded it with some 300 sandpaper and it works perfectSo this is very safe health wise. Not the hard plastic type that peels off. And the material is safe on food.Only issue is that it'd small make a wider one.Great product. Ergonomic, easy to cleanBought both the spatula and the slotted turner at the same time.Spatula cracked in less than a month, along the steel interior support and the edges. Slotted turned lasted a bit longer, but also cracked along the support.Silicone is flexible but not durable. This spatula has an attractive wooden handle and a silicone based tool that is heat resistant up to 480 degrees. Works great for what I use it for, flipping pancakes etc. and looks nice in my kitchen!I bought an expensive set of utensils and found them lacking so ordered several pieces from this company to complete my set. They blend in well and look expensive but definitely are not. They work incredibly well. I love how this has some flex on the top, but as a whole, is sturdy. I use this for everything and anything, most recently I made breakfast with hash browns and eggs and this worked perfectly. I also used this for potato slices I cooked in oil on the stove, worked well and flexed when I needed it to and was sturdy while flipping. My only complaint- only thing - this gets water marks from the dishwasher - all the utensils from this company actually have water marks on the black silicone. So I have to just hand wash but they clean very easily with no stuck on food or grease. 4 stars because they work great but I have to hand wash. This wood-handled silicone slotted spatula is an odd one, there are some things to like but some things that are just frustrating. In general I do like Kufung's kitchen stuff, but on this particular piece I'm not sure I can recommend it.Like:- silicone head is slippery and easy to clean- slotted design works for delicate foods- wood handle is attractive- treating the handle with mineral oil penetrates wellDislike:- surprisingly small spatula- odd shape- spatula is a bit too thick- wood handle dried out very quickly, requiring mineral oil treating- drilled hole for wood handle left a little sloppyThe spatula head itself is smaller than the palm of my hand, I wear men's medium gloves which is not huge by any stretch of the imagination, and this spatula looks dainty by comparison, so it's hard to know what it's useful for. The design is a bit thick with a floppy ramp at the front, eggs don't want to get up on it without folding in on themselves, and cooling cookies don't want to lift cleanly off the baking sheet with this ramp design; I did find more success with turning sandwiches, at least, but even there it's a balancing act. It just doesn't seem to do any one thing well, it's too thick for delicate little things, and too small for larger things like burgers, so it's not my go-to spatula in any way.The wood handle is good for dealing with heat (note the plastic interior of the spatula head limits it to 480 degrees Fahrenheit); but it's challenging for cleaning as even a little water on it just dried it right out. I cannot imagine what putting this in the dishwasher would do to that handle, despite the suggestion on the item description saying it's ok. After a quick hand-wash, this thing was so dry that I had to treat it with mineral oil (to keep water or food oils that could spoil from damaging the handle over time) and the handle took the mineral oil excellently.
