Before getting into this review, I should mention that it's very easy to tell if your refrigerator actually uses this specific ice maker. (I didn't follow my own advice and ended up ordering the wrong model based on an incorrectly answered question and Amazon's tool that ensured it would fit.)If you just remove a a couple of screws that hold the ice-maker cover in place, you'll find a small sticker that's visible with the part number. In my case, the part number on the ice maker is WPW10251076 - which is a perfect match for this product. The sticker is kind of small, so I snapped a photo with my phone and zoomed in to see what the model was.I wish I had done that before accidentally ordering the incorrect one.Regardless, the install process was unbelievably simple - and probably took a total of 20 minutes. The only hiccup was that I had to remove a small light/sensor from the old one and clip it onto this one before re-installing it. That would have been simple if the sensor hadn't been iced into place so I had to defrost it before it could be removed.Now that it's installed, our ice maker is working better than it ever has. I have a suspicion that the original one was probably semi-defective from the day we got the refrigerator.This is a very simple and inexpensive fix if you're having problems with your ice maker.
