If you do not see a Red Seal in the bottom inside of the pan, then this seal will not fit. You will need Snap Ring Pliers to properly remove & install the snap rings. *You must remove the entire old seal or the new seal will not install. Just tearing away pieces of the rubber is not removing the entire seal. The rubber seal has a metal frame inside it. If you only tear away or pull just rubber out and not the metal frame, then you have not removed the whole seal. If you see what looks like a shiny washer within the seal housing, then you have only torn away the rubber part of the seal and left behind the seals inner metal frame. You must pry out the metal frame that looks like a shiny washer with an old pointed end can opener also known as a church key.
