Description
Permatex Sensor-Safe Blue RTV Silicone Gasket Maker makes reliable 'formed-in-place' gaskets that resist cracking, shrinking and migrating, effectively replacing almost any cut gasket. With a temperature range of -65 degrees fahrenheit to 500 degrees fahrenheit intermittent, this gasket maker resists auto and shop fluids, and coats pre-cut gaskets to increase reliability without fouling oxygen sensors. Permatex gasket makers offer significant performance advantages which include outstanding oil resistance, excellent torque retention and hi-temp, sensor-safe properties. First generation 1970-1980 gasket maker. Suggested applications include valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings, and transmission pans. Permatex always has the right gasket maker for your application.

This is one of few products I've used that produced excellent, long lasting results. I over did it the first time and ended up with a mess. When I used it correctly as directed, I got a perfect, non messy, long lasting seal. Most recently, I used this to seal the connections on my hot tub heater. The stainless steel to PVC connections are neat, leak free and easily handle the heat.Easy to apply tacky within 10 to 15 minutes. Felt like it was a little small for the price however it was much cheaper than buying locally. Fast shipping would recommend.Works great to make a gasketThe product is fine not sure why the seller only sent me one when I ordered a two packWILL ORDER AGAINUsed it to augment my '03 Corolla's new valve cover silicone gasket. Difficult to squeeze tube (lots of strength needed) and still have a still hand to apply a straight line of material. Found it was easiest to use sliding clamps to gently apply lots of pressure to the tube to squeeze out content so I can focus on precise strain line. Steps are, clean up old gasket materials (this took me days), apply to up-side-down cover, then insert gasket, clean excess with acetone, apply another layer on top of gasket, place on engine, hand tighten bolts, and after 1 hour can bring to correct torque according to packaging. For '03 Corolla S, all are 10mm and Torques specs are as follows: centered 2 bolts = 96 INCH lbs, perimeter bolts = 80 INCH lbs (note there is 1 unique bolt on the driver side-most front; this bolt goes through the engine shroud). Good luck and happy wrenching!I understand that this can be used as a standalone gasket, but I've never used it that way. I've always just added a very thin application to each side of a hard gasket to help them seal. I've done 4 water pumps in that manner, and every one worked out great. Do read the directions though. You're supposed to apply it, install the parts, lightly tension the bolts, then wait an hour to torque them to specs, and 24 hrs before subjecting it to use. Be careful how you store it too.. crank the lid on tight and put it in a ziploc w/ all the air pushed out. Will keep for a year or two.Good stuffEasy to apply and stopped the oil leakShows up on time and works greatキャブのガスケットが破れ裏表塗って組み立てて見た問題なく使えます
