Replaced the motor in our ice maker.Likes: The new part was identical to the old one. Ice maker is now working as expected. No problems installing.Dislikes: There were no instructions included but I did not need them. The part arrived in a bubble type shipping envelope. There was no damage to the part but there very easily could have been. Suggest the shipper use better packaging.Later: This motor does NOT function as it should. The gears jump cogs while the motor is stalled during tray warmup. The motor keeps turning but the driven gear (on the paddle shaft) does not. This results in a popping sound every few seconds when the cogs jumps. While this motor appears identical to the original, something is different. Here I am just guessing as to why:1. Motor has a higher stall torque.2. Excess play in the motor shaft bearings.3. Slightly different mounting position; that is, mounting holes to shaft relationship is slightly different.I suppose I should have bought a complete new ice maker instead of trying to fix my old one.
