I've been using Ideal Protein choc chip pancakes for years. After hitting my target weight, I still used them Mon-Fri to clean up after the weekend. I found these as a lower cost alternative and they are great. A bit thinner, and less choc chips, but the nutritional result is excellent.Pro tip: spread a think layer of all natural peanut butter over them, and then lightly sprinkle with Stevia, or your preferred sweetener. Adds very little in calories but makes a world of difference to eat. These are ok. I’m on Optavia and with their product shortages I decided to try these. They are as close to the nutritional info of Optavia pancakes as I could find. They don’t taste quite as good but they’re ok. Very few chips included or they may be ground up in the powder. The texture is a little different but I’ll probably continue to use them until Optavia gets their supply issues taken care of.We used 4 packets with the recommended 6.8 oz water, but we added a tablespoon of oil for 4 waffles. They were a little sticky in the waffle iron even with the oil, but they released ok. We were pleasantly surprised at how great they tasted. Different, but not bad... when compared to regular brand waffles. The packets are a great option for a single person on a low carb/low fat diet. Since there's only seven packets in the box, we will have to settle for a waffle and a half each next time. Oh the horror! [We have not made pancakes with this mix.]This was a big surprise to me . On Optavia and ran out before my shipment , found this , with prime delivery thought I would try it out .... was very surprised at how much better it is than Octavia , portion seems larger as well .... and I can actually taste the chocolate . About 7 dollars cheaper so I will be ordering again from this company ..... anyone looking for a pancake will be disappointed . But for those of us who are dieting this is a very nice alternativeThe portion size is good, price is fair, but the taste is somewhat sour. I don't know if this is suppose to taste like buttermilk, but before cooking the batter is very sour and after it's a hint of sourness. Definitely will not be repurchasing there.I was looking for a substitute for optavia pancakes since I ran out. The nutritional content of these pancakes is exactly 20% of your daily needs. Low calorie. Great taste. There are 7 packages per box. I just add a little water and have even used my mini waffle maker to cook them.I love these! As a meal replacement or a snack, they have 15 grams of protein. No funny taste at all. If only they came in a more cost effective package - like a box with a scoop.I bought this to try when I was waiting for my Optavia order to be delivered and it was delayed. I was so disappointed. It has a funny taste and smell. I figured how bad could chocolate chip pancake or waffle be? Very bad. I ended up throwing it out. I also bought Wonderslim pancakes and those taste great. Never again. Don't waste your money on Nutri Wise chocolate chip pancakes!
