A good price and a truly unforgettable cappuccino.Might be a little spendy but it's a good product if you love your espressosThis is an upgrade for me from the POS steam machine that I bought at Goodwill that basically made a double Americano. I was surprised by the tiny filter baskets so I made some modifications. I got rid of the spring holding the baskets in. Too hard to get them out to clean. Now I can turn the holder upside down and the basket falls out. Then I removed the black plastic diverter in the bottom of the filter holder and found a nut to hold the screw in place. Now I can use the big basket from my old crappy machine and do a 4 shot at a time equivalent rather than two.To get the water hot enough I do the first run with just water in my cup until the light goes out and dump the water, then maybe again. BY the third time the light stays on long enough to make an espresso lungo or I can use my big pitcher and make a double shot Americano by running more water through. SO far so good. It is quieter than the old steam machine and does not seem to vibrate much. The instructions were clear and helpful for me since I had previously only used a turn it on until it runs out of steam then turn it off machine. This is a bit more finicky and I have to stand and watch it but it does not take long to make my daily cup and make it as strong as I like. The only coffee I truly enjoy is a nice Cuban espresso, but sometime using a little stovetop espresso maker is a bit too much for me in the mornings, so I decide to use an espresso machine. I have had lots of these machines in the past but so far this De'Longhi one has been the best, most durable one I have ever purchased.Pros:CompactLarge reservoirHot water option for making teaFrother seems to work very wellHigh pressureHeats up fastGreat placement of knobsCons:Difficult to access the reservoir if you place it under a cabinet since you need to take out the whole tank to properly fill it upFrother is quite difficult to clean up, but that goes for most of these machinesI would like to add that when you first use the hot water option that comes out of the frother arm, it comes out with high pressure and can really scare you if you're not prepared the first time.Overall, its a great quality machine and is hard to beat for the price.Very good espresso maker for the money. I had the lower model of this product, but it was to small for a normal size coffee cup so I upgraded to this one. It took me a while to figure out how to keep it going though after a month though. The holes in the coffee baskets are very small and clog easily making it sound like you machine is not getting pressure, but it is really the baskets getting clogged. I have very hard water and this exacerbates the problem. I have found that after each use I need to clean the coffee out of the basket, put it back in the espresso machine and run it with no coffee in the basket to clean the basket. About once a month I need to soak the baskets in vinegar to clean out the scale that builds up in the baskets. I have a feeling that many of the people saying they are losing pressure are having one or some of the problems I have listed above.I have had this machine for two months and used it to make my caramel latte every morning, this one is so far the best I've ever owned. Unlike most other brands or models in the price range of $150 to $200 (my experience), this machine heats and foams up milk super fast (I use coconut almond milk). What's ever better is that it does not scream like a mad monster. There is no water leak anywhere either, very well built! Just make sure that the water reservoir is pushed all the way to the bottom before you turn on the machine every time because it fits in the machine perfectly and tightly, it won't drop all the way in by itself or the pump would just be pumping air. I highly recommend De'Longhi ECP3220 to all Espresso and Latte lovers!Massive disappointment. The description says it’s brand new but I received a used machine and it’s broken. I tried to contact the customer service but they refuse to send a replacement. Not the price is higher and they also refuse to do anything about my loss. It’s a waste of time and money. Very grossEl sabor del café es desagradable, pensamos que era por lo nuevo del producto pero no es así .that is clearly used machine not brand new with water inside machine and plastic warp, looks like just clean up. Missing two filters as the instrcution guide list two filters on the top lid. DisappointedIt took me a lot of time and research to decide on this machine after having owned a similar Breville some years ago (that unfortunately was more delicate and had ongoing issues). The De'Longhi is tough, well-made and makes great coffee. I've, had it for four months without any issues, so all good so far. It froths milk really well and once you get some barista practice for consistency, you can easily make any type of coffee you like.As others have mentioned, it does tend to vibrate enough to make a glass espresso cup slide out from under the spout sometimes, but this seems pretty minor to me. I especially like the water reservoir – easy to remove or just fill from the top, although it is impossible to see how full from the front but this isn't a big deal, either.Highly recommended.this machine arrived with water leaking out. how is that possible? when i did the start up steam was coming from everywhere and the first cup i made, the machine was struggling. something is not right inside. its too bad, i know this is a great brand, feels like a fake or used. maybe better to buy directly from de'longhi? i did not even want to give it one star.I bought this a year ago and it gets used at least once a day and acts like i just UN-packed it. Sure its entry level but it works and works well. the mug warmer never really worked for me, but i never cared about it.Just follow the instructions, clean it, and enjoy.FYI get a quality coffee grinder or get it per-ground and if it doesn't flow much at all, the grounds are too well packed.I have this machine for a little over a year and I'm thrilled with it. It makes good coffee with a good foam. It is not temperamental like the Breville Roma which used to drive me crazy. I recommend it 100%.
