I figured that the actual problem as not the icemaker but since I had installed, I left it in place. It does work as the original, ie. it makes ice.The bottom peg needs to be installed - I did not realize until I tried to attach to the fridge, had to remove and look around where I had dropped it... ended up using the one from the old ice-maker, just to found the part 5 miniutes later.Another issue is that it does not come with the "plastic" flap that attaches to the wire, not a biggie because again, you can use the one from the old icemaker.However, there are two problems with the wire: 1) was bent basically opposite to the original direction and 2) the plastic flap did move freely !I had to reshape the wire to the correct orientation AND had to rebend the wire to make the flap move freely. Thanks to that little vise grip in the shop, it was a no-brainer.I could have reused the old wire but I it was a little thinner, so I went through all the work.
