Bought this for my military buns bc I was obsessed with having a perfect bun especially since my hair was so long. Worked great.I wanted to use these for a while before I posted, so that I could give them a thorough review. For reference, I have long hair, so my review is based on how these work for me.1. Color is great. They blend into my hair really nicely. I recently went from brown to dark red, and because of their texture, they stay hidden.2. Easy to use. It only takes me about 3 minutes to put my wet hair into a really pretty bun.3. Quality is great. I use the same large one 2-3 times a week and after a few months, it still looks brand new and holds its shape. My only issue is that I don't need the 3 pack of sizes. I would prefer being able to buy a 3-pack of just the large, as I have no use for the other two sizes. Someone with short of thin hair would only need the small size and would not be able to hide the large one.I get so many compliments on my bun when I use these!!I purchased this hair doughnut 3 piece set for my niece who was competing in a Little Miss Snowflake pageant. My sister-in-law called in a panic because she didn't know what to do with her hair. I have purchased these hair doughnuts in the past for myself and knew how easy they were to use and how much versatility they provide. They were great quality and came in three different sizes (small, medium, and large). My niece has medium long hair so we were able to use the medium and large hair doughnuts to make a pretty high top bun. I also purchased crystal hair pins to place into the bun for a little bit sparkle. My sister-in-law, who had no idea how to use these, was able to take directions over the phone with no issues - that is how easy these are to use. They said in all day, the crystal pins inserted easily into the doughnuts, and did not show through her hair. I highly recommend these hair doughnuts - the possibilities are endless.I had been using a rolled sock, but it just never felt right. I purchased these to keep my hair in an orderly bun and I love them! If I want it tight I put my hair in a pony tail then put the donut over and pull the hair around to cover the donut, then secure it with another rubber band. Or, since the texture is rough, almost like velcro, it holds the hair enough to only use one light rubber band to hold the hair, so it's not as tight, and no headaches. I've used all sizes, my hair is only past my shoulders, but the large one is HUGE and I can't make it work well for me. I've used them all in different styles and always get comments on how nice my hair looks. I hope they last a long time!My daughter is at her dance studio 5 days per week, 3 times for ballet classes. She had been asking for 'bun makers' for quite sometime. I found these at Amazon and took a chance. I wanted to help out the Easter Bunny. She loves them. She knows just how to use them , too. She can make a very clean, professional looking bun with these. She makes a ponytail, threads it through bun holder, then wraps the excess hair around it or braids it. It looks beautiful when she does it. This is perfect for dance recital weekend when her hair needs to be in a bun the entire time. Great purchase. Highly recommend for any dancer..or anyone looking to make nicer looking buns with their hair.I absolutely love this kit! I've bought some other buns in the past but these are the best! I have very thin hair (Asian hair that's super straight) and use the buns for work. I'm out of bed and out the door (shower, makeup, walking the dog, etc) within 35 minutes. These buns really help cut down my time in the mornings and my hair is up and super cute all day, even through my hour long gym workout and even if I decide to go out after work. I use the large one mostly but have used all of them depending on what size I want my bun to be and if there are any fly-away pieces. Every lady should have a set of these!!I was unsure of what size to get so I got this 3 pack instead. Unfortunately for my thinner shoulder length hair the small is the only size that works, but that's my hairs issue, not the products. I had thought this would be more like doing a sock bun where you roll your hair down it, but it is not, you put it at your crown & wrap your hair around it. I'm going to play with it more tho & see if I can make the sock bun technique work with it since that is easier for me personally.I was very worried about being able to do a proper bun for my daughter's ballet recital. This product definitely made a decent bun a reality. Things I liked about this product: (1) it comes with three different sizes, including a very small size, which was critical for me as my daughter doesn't have a whole lot of hair; and (2) it comes in a blondish color, which was good because my daughter has dirty-blonde hair. Things to note: although the donut ring is light-colored, the included bobby-pins are black. I ended up having to purchase blond bobby-pins separately. Also, I found the instructions for how to use this product confusing. (Note that these instructions do not come with the product but are posted on the product page on Amazon). I ended up watching a few YouTube videos for hair donuts and following those instructions instead.
