You can’t control temperature, so it takes longer than I expected for making a meal for just one person. Not recommended if you cook for more than one person. I was hesitating if to return because the steam makes noise when making waffles, and it doesn’t open easily when it’s done. But it makes nice sandwiches, I decided to keep it after all. Easy to clean, easy to use, and good looking piece of machine. Heavier than I thought though.Did not work for me. Purchased to do paninis but it was too shallow to accommodate my sandwiches. Can't really comment on the other features since I never used it.The design is beautiful, but the durability is not. After 5 months use, the timer had a lot of rust around its knob. The timer was stuck when running. Without the timer, it's useless.Wasn't worth the $17 or $18 a paid fell apart for some of used it still works makes good sandwiches thoughI just made a basic grilled cheese sandwich in it. The plates remove for cleaning, and for switching to the waffle maker. The timer is fabulous! I let preheat for a couple of minutes, then added the sandwich and closed and latched the lid, then set timer for 4 minutes. When the time is up, it shuts off the unit! The biggest problem was reading the instructions, as the print is tiny.I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This thing is a fire hazard and a er burn unit visit waiting to happen. There is a handle but the design of it is so poor that it becomes just as hot as the waffle maker. The plastic on the outside also gets really hot.Overall this one is worth the priceThis was a gift to my hubs as he enjoys making breakfast sandwiches. He likes It! Have not tried making waffles yet.
