MakerMade makes several Maslow CNC kits and this one is hands down the best kit out there on the market now. It is my 3rd MaslowCNC machine (I make sign equipment for sign makers) and this has everything you need except the frame, which is super easy to build. I highly recommend this company and this product.DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS!!I bought a car for 500$ once that did not require this much of my time and effort. This is not a 500$ item, it will consume your time with maintenance issues, calibration issues, confusion at every level. From assembly to final product, you are on your own!! Little to zero instruction and many issues still have never been resolved. No customer contact number and for obvious reason!! It would be impossible to get through because anyone who has ever purchased one of these would be always calling for help!!If I can keep one person from wasting their time and money with this review it’s worth writing.Don’t take my word for it. Just check Maslow issues on Google and you’ll see an ocean of unresolved problems. If you don't have enough stress in your life and have money to burn, then please by all means purchase this s*** show... The instructions literally say walk away and come back to it later.. let me tell you... Just dont buy it... get something smaller that lays flat. this thing is quite literally the biggest pain in my garage..While the M2 has great potential, however you need to be willing to spend A LOT of time tweaking and tinkering to get the calibration just right. I am an experienced woodworker and CNC machinist and the best accuracy I could achieve was 3 mm.If you are a novice to woodworking and or CNC machining do not buy this. There are a number of TurnKey or nearly TurnKey machines that require very little tweaking for about the same price. The only difference is they are quite a bit smaller.Once you are comfortable with these other entry-level machines then you could consider the M2 if you need the larger format.I bought one of these some time ago. I've spent the last four (six now) months trying to get it to work. Hundreds of dollars spent on gears, springs, motors, 2 CPUs including Makermade M2, extra hardware, plywood, you name it. Ruined a sheet of plywood. Now 12' wide 8' tall. Motors stutter--wont cut evenly. It keeps failing. May be great for small trinkets. The calibration does not work--wont save. Software buggy. Nothing works. Save your sanity and your money. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING WHATEVER YOU DO. I must be an idiot for buying this thingGood stuff. Open source too!
