I needed these for a library program and was impressed by the perfect sizeWorks awesome just as all Clover products! Great size for small pompoms.I was used to making larger pom poms but needed the smaller size for some baby items. Same build as the larger ones. Did not like the shipping package as it came in a 5 X7 size box with no wrapping so the inner product package was damaged and the pieces of the pom pom maker were loose in the box when it arrived, luckily nothing fell out as it was well taped. These are the smallest ones I have seen allowing me to make matching pom poms for my craft projectsI had a hard time holding on to them and my first choice of yarn may have been a mistake. If I see improvement with a different yarn. I will edit the rating. They also felt like they were used and repackaged. They came apart too easily, even when winding the yarn.I'm a pretty advanced knitter and can do a lot of other high-end crafts but there are two things I have been a complete failure at: crochet and pom pom making. I've given up on crochet but these pom pom makers from Clover have saved me on the pom pom front. I purchased the small set at Joann's and it was like a miracle for me. I was previously failing using the cardboard and fork tine methods (miserable results) and was not hopeful that I'd be able to "get it" with the Clover either but my first pom pom was very fluffy and exciting. I made several after that, all with great results. So when I was making pom pom peds, I needed the extra small pom pom maker to get the pom poms exactly the right size for the socks. I purchased the extra small set on Amazon - the price was right and I couldn't be happier. Each of the sets I have contains two sizes. Very easy to work with and perfect pom poms every time!Perfect tool to make pompoms. Recommend -I have 4 different sizes to use now.Makes pom pom making easy. You need extra thin scissors to cut pom pom in half,or use an exacto knife.Tiny size and a great accent piece.I brought some plastic ones years ago but over time I have l lost them. brought these to make them again these are even easier than my last lot as you made pompoms the same way as cutting cardboard rounds. these are easy has you wrap each half separate. one half then the other close them together to cut and easy to tie presto one pompom. the only thing your scissors must be sharp to the point or will not cut them very good. these make a complete set I have got all sizes of pompom now. GREATI love these they are so good at making Pom poms and the quality is fantastic can’t fault them.I got the bigger one now as I was so pleased. These pom pom makers are just terrific. The extra small makes the cutest little pom poms ever. There's no way I could have made the teenie tiny ones with cardboard, and they turned out perfect first time. I found the instructions that came with them weren't enough for me, but I went on YouTube and it's all there. It's such a clever idea, and I imagine that eventually I'll have them in every size available! I needed tiny pom poms for a project I was doing and was able to make them from odds and ends of yarn. Would highly recommend.I bought these for my daughter who wants to make little crocheted bunnies for her friends and these make the perfect sized fluffy tails. Once you work out what to do, it's reasonably straightforward to use and gives consistent results. You can do the same thing wrapping yarn around a fat knitting needle or a cardboard circle, but, hey, it's a gadget and crafters gotta have gadgets :)You will need to tighten the centre tie once the pompom is out of the gadget, so don't be tempted to knot it off beforehand.Absolutely brilliant. The first Pom Pom I made (in photo) came out much better than expected. I LOVE my new toy. Easy to use with excellent results. Highly recommended.
