Doesn't even deserve one star.Bought this as a backup, so didn't use until current paddle started sticking to bread, so now not in a position to return."non-stick" coating had worn off old paddle in places so was starting to stick and tear bread when removing from loaf. Tried this. Disaster ! Dont think there was a single point on this paddle where the bread hadnt stuck. Tore a hole the size of a golf ball in the middle of the loaf. Please do not buy from this supplier.Inspecting paddle, no sign of sparkles typical of non stick coating, just shiny metallic finish.Ten percent of reviewers have voted this 2 stars 7 less for a good reason. Looks unfinished. Is this a second ?SO BAD!! not non stick, fits bread machine too snugly so hard to remove.Supposed to be genuine part I do not believe it.Tried to log complaint but ended up in a loop where Amazon shop said to call morphy Richards and morphy Richards said to contact the Amazon shop.Stupidly frustrating.Should add that photos taken (yes a bit of dough on them.. but had only used them 3 or 4 times and already the non stick is going. I wash only with water, nothing rough like scouters etc.So very disappointing! Avoid avoid avoid!!!The non-stick coating on the paddle began to peel off after just one use. In order not to ingest this coating I have used wire wool to remove it all. This has revealed that it is very roughly and poorly cast. the blade is noticeably taller than the original one, causing it to stay stuck within the loaf and then pull away a large chunk of dough when shaking the loaf from the pan. As a result of all these defects I am convinced that this is not a genuine Morphy Richards item.We - I mean me - threw away a loaf of bread we had made before taking out the original MR kneading blade. Looked around for a replacement and this seemed to fit the bill as it seemed to be an original Morphy Richards replacement part. The supplied blade is a dull gold colour rather than the original grey. It doesn't fit quite right, is a little loose and wobbles about a bit on the shaft at the bottom of the baking pan. We tried it out and the first loaf wasn't mixed correctly and hadn't risen. I was all for blaming this blade, but we tried it again and it worked perfectly the second time. Not tried it since. Not sure if the first time I didn't put enough water in, so who knows. Only time will tell if this is hit and miss or a good replacement.Great replacement blade for my elderly bread maker! It’s even better than the original blade in that it usually stays in the bread when it comes out of the tin unlike the original which used to rip out the bottom of the loaf and make it hard to remove the loaf from the tin. It’s easy to remove this blade from the loaf when it has cooled enough to touch. Very pleased I took a chance with this blade as I couldn’t find any suitable for the model of my bread maker as it’s so old!
